Set up the stage, turn on the big lights, plug in that guitar, put on the microphone, a shouting crowd inside and out, now who’s probably missing to get this whole party started? It’s definitely Taylor Swift.
Taylor Swift is an American singer-songwriter, who was born on the 13th of December in the year 1989. She grew up in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of a stock broker father and a stay-at-home mother. At an early age, people have seen her potential as a singer. She started writing songs and playing 12-string guitar when she was just twelve. Her grandmother was a professional opera singer who influenced her in her singing career, though she didn’t take the same path like her grandmother because she has a greater passion for country music. Later on, it’s not just the people of Pennsylvania who were able to see her talent, but the whole world as well.
Taylor Swift - Tim McGraw
Since she first entered the limelight, this 20-year old girl has certainly proven herself in the world of music; that she could really hit stardom with her amazing talent. Her debut single “Tim McGraw” peaked at number six on the Billboard country charts and that explained everything. After the success of her first album, her self-titled debut album again made it to the top, producing five hit singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs. This album turned certified three times Multi-platinum by the RIA.
In the year 2008, Swift was labeled as the biggest selling artist in America with the combined sales of more than four million albums making her the first artist in the history of Nielsen SoundScan to have two different albums in the Top 10 following the trails left by the famous country artists The Dixie Chicks and Carrie Underwood.
TAYLOR SWIFT: TEARDROPS ON MY GUITAR
On the 24th of February in the year 2007, the second single from the album Taylor Swift entitled Teardrops on My Guitar was released. This song was inspired by a true event during her high school years. The song again peaked number two in the summer of 2007. This success pushed Swift into the Grammy’s as the Best New Artist category nominee. Stardom really has started to take this young lady into her dreams back when she was just a child.
Although success is already in her hands, that didn’t eat her heart to help other people. On September 2007, teaming up with Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen, she launched a campaign that aims to protect the children from online predators. This wasn’t a part of those strategies to promote album or to refresh her name as an artist. It was launched merely to help, and nothing else.
At present, Taylor Swift is busy with her upcoming singles and with her organizations and campaigns, which reminds us all that everybody is destined to have a better future. It’s just always up to us how we are going to take those roads. But like this young lady who showed the world that at an early age we could already reach our dreams, just believe in those and in ourselves and nothing is impossible.
