If to compare today’s life and life on the Middle Ages you are likely to see a great difference. There were dances and musicians who played different types of music. The there simple people were allowed to watch at the entertainment of the riches. It was extremely great and helped people to get acquainted and to relax. Also there were organized different types of competitions. People like to have fun. What is more, it is necessary to release the energy. That is why, sports competition was the best answer to the demand of the time. Apart from that it was common to listen to the story teller or a singer when eating or after the supper. Alcohol was inevitable part of such small celebrations. When celebrating weddings and any other holydays they gathered a lot of people and everyone was eating, drinking and dancing.

For the poor people entertainment was a little bit different. They mostly watched the way the riches have fun. However, they also have their own ways of entertainment. For example, simple people liked performing different plays especially the funny ones in which they laughed at the riches and different sins of the people.

As you can see the way people were having fun doe not differ a lot from the way they entertain themselves now. What is more, there are even a lot of different celebrations which are held in the same way. For example carnavals were held in the Middle Ages to have fun before the fast. Today they are extremely popular. Also there are a great deal of other holidays and celebrations which were celebrated many centuries ago.
